Our Facilities

Animal Transgenic Facility

Located in Verónica, Buenos Aires, our Animal Transgenic Facility is composed of specialized sectors dedicated to cutting-edge biotechnology for human health applications.

  • Bovine Embryology Laboratory

In this laboratory, we carry out cloning and reproduction processes for genetically modified bovines to feed the GMB Platform. Genes of interest are inserted into the animals, resulting in the efficient production of recombinant proteins for humans.

  • Milking Facilities

We keep genetically modified cows in specially equipped milking facilities, where they produce milk containing the recombinants proteins. These proteins are then purified and processed to create affordable therapeutic medicines.

  • Molecular Biology Laboratory
Here, we develop cutting-edge biotechnological techniques, such as CRISPR-Cas9 — a powerful genetic engineering tool that allows us to edit and correct the genome of virtually any cell.

Our History

Biomill is a spin-off from Biosidus. Currently, both companies keep a tight relationship and collaborate in different developments and projects.

Biomill starts with the acquisition of genetically modified bovine animals GMB technology, which is then enhanced with other products and services.

1983: Biosidus is established in Argentina with the development and commercialization of recombinant proteins for human use.

1990: Biosidus expands its operations and product portfolio, reaching more than 40 countries in the world.

2000: Biosidus develops genetically modified animal technology, cloning the first cow in Latin America.

2018: Biosidus teams up with a Private Equity focusing on biosimilar medicines developed using conventional platforms.

2019: Biomill acquires genetically modified animal technology, patents, equipment and brands from Biosidus.

2025: Nowadays, Biomill has a strong portfolio of pharmaceutical projects and products, including hGH, lysosomal enzymes and monoclonal antibodies.
